Singtel, Starhub & M1 Mobile Phone Shops? |
Does anyone know if there are any mobile phone stores that is able to sign up all of the subcriptions by different service providers at one place? the thing is most shops are exclusive retailers for only one particular service provider. the reason why i'm asking this is because i have a Starhub voucher and i wanted to get a Sony Ericsson K800i in Allure Brown but this color model is only available in Singtel and M1 dealer shops. so i figured, if i can go to a shop with Starhub and one other service provider, i can get my phone there! Hi there, those private dealers won't accept Starhub vouchers. It is only accepted at Starhub shops & those stores listed on the voucher. And as for your phone, even if you manage to go to one dealer that does two providers, (alot of them do dual providers actually), they will not sell it to you unless you get a Singtel/M1 plan, as it is not exclusive to Starhub (meaning you will not be able to get the phone you want with your Starhub plan anyway). Only way you can do it is buy the phone without contract at the Starhub shop. Source(s): Ex-singtel sales & private dealer sales. hi if u are desperate for this particular phone, u can try doing this: sell off ur voucher (at a slight loss of cuz) and sell off ur mobile plan recontract (u can check it out on classifieds or online). they will pay u a sum (about 150 i believe) for recontracting with starhub, and they'll take the phone of their own choice. sure u'll do this at a loss, but this is one alternative. Another option is to sell off your Starhub voucher at a slight discount, and then use the extra cash to top up in either SingTel/M1 when you want to sign up for a new line. Or have you considered getting the casing from the mass market? Or painting the model yourself (my friend painted her own mobile phone). How about checking with Starhub whether they can bring in the colour for this model? Usually the bigger retailers will be more than willing to provide this service, esp if they think more customers will want this? Or what about checking with Sony Ericsson direct to see if they provide this colour to Starhub dealers (and find out which ones are these)? |
